What's Wrong With This Picture?

I recently photographed a property in Great Midwest.  That's as granular as I'll get to protect the guilty.  I came in a day early, and wound up staying at a property about 30 miles from the one I was to photograph.

Gorgeous property.  Rated the #2 of its' (upscale) brand in the entire U.S.  Beautiful exterior and interior, well maintained, very clean, fantastic staff.  Total winner of a property...

And then I checked out their images.

This was the first one I saw (and I swear I'm not making this up)....

Now.  Take a moment and ask yourself one simple question, "Does this make me want to book this property?"  Be honest.

This is why professional hospitality images are important.  This GM has it all going on... he has obviously trained his staff very well, and is doing a stellar job of managing the day to day operations of his property.  But he is "marketing-blind."  He hasn't learned yet why images are so important to not only booking rates, but repeat business as well.  He just doesn't "get" that part of his property's marketing.

Not only that, but this full-service property, with a wonderful restaurant on-site, has only 12 images on their major brand's website, none of which put the property OR the restaurant in a positive light.  In fact, there are no images of the restaurant at all.  12 (very poor) images.  By our estimations (based on market research for that tier of property), this GM is losing approx. $800,000 per year in lost bookings.  For nothing.

Believe it or not, this is the easiest thing to fix in a failing property.  Staff takes time to be trained and mentored, rooms take time to be cleaned and fixed up, and improving the overall quality of your breakfast is a process...  But none of those matter if  you can't get their initial booking... which is why you need to talk to us... today.
