3D Virtual Tours...
I know what you're thinking... "But... but... but... what's wrong with 3D virtual tours?"
As it turns out, LOTS.
First of all, for most potential guests, they take too long to load. Anything that makes a viewer wait more than 3-5 seconds loses their interest and they'll move on... not to the next image, but to the NEXT PROPERTY.
Secondly, you can't professionally light a 3D virtual tour, so you're stuck with ambient lighting... which is OK if you take the 3D capture at PRECISELY the right time of day, either pre-dawn or during the "blue hour," 90 minutes after sunset.
While a novelty when they first appeared, 3D Virtual Tours have done literally NOTHING to entice potential guests to book with you. In fact, they're the direct cause of driving business AWAY from your site.
So the next time some earnest, well-meaning wedding photographer tries to talk you into buying 3D Virtual Tours, follow Nancy Reagan's sage advice, and "Just Say No."
It won't help you, and it may very well cause you to lose business.
